The red wine »Edition Premium Réserve unfiltered« Merlot trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Wachtenburg Winzer eG has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Buttery notes, black cherry confit, plum, dark chocolate. On the palate the wine still shows a youthful, grainy tannin, which is integrated by a slight oiliness and strong alcohol, the acidity remains discreet. Further maturation will do the harmony good.
