The white wine »Junge Winzer« Grauburgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Wachtenburg Winzer has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Beautiful nose: aromas of ripe lemon, pear, quince, peach, almond and nut. The acidity is well integrated on the palate. Subtle residual sweetness and creaminess round out the medium body.
More about the tastingA deep golden yellow colour. Good substance and lively acidity on the palate, the typical varietal suppleness is definitely there, but currently remains in the background, a well-designed wine that combines fullness and structure and shows very good prospects for bottle ageing.
