The white wine »Familiengewächs« Silvaner trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Winzer Sommerach – Die Genossenschaft has been rated in 2018 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Restrained mineral tinged nose, with a note of damp stone, and some mirabelle plum. Dense and powerful on the palate, with fruity phenolics, a soft broad background, and an intense tactile minerality on the finish. It definitely needs some bottle ageing.
