Fiskebaren Celebrates 17 Years and Prepares to Open New Venue
Copenhagen’s beloved seafood restaurant Fiskebaren is celebrating two milestones: its 15th consecutive Michelin Guide recommendation and its 17th anniversary. At the same time, the team is preparing to launch a new all-day venue in the city’s Meatpacking District.
There is plenty to celebrate at Copenhagen’s acclaimed Fiskebaren. The popular seafood restaurant has once again secured a recommendation in the Michelin Guide, marking its 15th consecutive appearance in the prestigious selection.
Adding to the festivities, the restaurant is also celebrating its 17th anniversary this month. While there will be no major birthday party this year, the team has expressed its gratitude to guests and supporters who have followed the restaurant throughout its journey.
Meanwhile, attention is already turning to the future. At the end of July, the group will open a new concept called Overfor Tyren in Copenhagen’s vibrant Kødbyen district. Translating to “Opposite the Bull,” the venue will combine elements of a café, wine bar, cocktail destination and restaurant under one roof.
Open from morning until late, Overfor Tyren will serve everything from coffee and light lunches to seasonal snacks, wines, cocktails and three-course dinners. The concept promises a relaxed, all-day atmosphere with a creative edge, reflecting the team’s playful approach to hospitality.
Located at Flæsketorvet 10, the new venue is set to become one of the summer’s most anticipated openings in Copenhagen’s dining scene.
