Discreet wood underscores an equally discreet varietal savouriness that comes less via cassis and bell pepper, and more via aromas like cumin and anise seed. In the mouth, the wine has a supple, full-bodied construction, which, however, does not run too wide due to the good extract and the finely balanced acidity.
