The red wine »Cuvée Catharina«, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Galler has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Cantor, Cabernet Cortis from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Rich wine, thy name be Catharina! You can sense the power of the wine on the nose even without looking at the back label. It has 14.5 vol% and an almost port-like, ethereal ripeness flows from the glass. All these phenomena are put into perspective a little on the first sip. Catharina has such a piquant acidic bite that the dense, fine-grained matter is lined with foam. A lot of everything, you gotta love it.
