Le Cordon Bleu Launches First London Restaurant

Iconic culinary school Le Cordon Bleu will open its first London fine-dining restaurant at 85 Fleet Street in June, more than two years later than planned.

Le Cordon Bleu, one of the largest networks of culinary and hospitality schools in the world, is opening the first all-in-one dining concept in London this summer. Slated to open in June, CORD by Le Cordon Bleu is a new project made up of a culinary institute, restaurant and café.

According to The Caterer, the new restaurant will showcase everything from tasting menus and à la carte to a weekly-changing set lunch. Open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Friday, the 90-cover CORD restaurant will feature dishes such as handpicked crab meat, marinated sea bream and corn-fed chicken. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy an extensive wine list that covers iconic regions including France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the New World. Meanwhile, the CORD Café will offer French patisserie, gourmet sandwiches, salads and soups.

Founded in Paris in 1895, Le Cordon Bleu is considered the largest network of culinary and hospitality schools in the world, with 35 institutes in 20 countries. CORD is the institution’s first foray into the London market.

The new restaurant will open in June 2022. For more information, visit the website
