Marco Pierre White to Open New Restaurant in London's West End
A Marco Pierre White restaurant will open in London's West End in October.
Mr White's
A new Marco Pierre White-branded restaurant is expected to open in London's Leicester Square in October. It will mark the first time the famed British chef will return to the West End in more than a decade. The new restaurant, Mr White's, will be located next to the Odeon cinema in a 1347 sqm/14,500 sq ft, four-storey property. White, regarded as an enfant terrible in his early career, became the youngest ever chef to be awarded three Michelin stars at the age of 33.
British heritage, Italian influence
Black and White Hospitality, the chef's franchise partner, said Mr White's will have "British heritage at its heart", with a menu featuring steaks, grills and chops, as well as an Italian influence with handmade pizzas. The property is currently undergoing a fit out and Mr White's expects to open its doors in October, it said.
White opened his first London restaurant, Harveys, in 1987. He won his third Michelin star in 1995 at The Restaurant Marco Pierre White in the Hyde Park Hotel London before retiring from the kitchen in 1999. Since then he has focused on rolling out a range of concept restaurants in the UK.
