At a moment when global conversation feels increasingly divided, the culinary world continues to unite us. That belief—that food serves as a shared language across cultures—forms the essence of CONVERGENCE, a five-day global gathering in Copenhagen hosted by “Alchemist”.

CONVERGENCE, a five-day global event, will be hosted byAlchemist from January 29 to February 2, 2026.

More than 60 top chefs—all listed among The World’s 50 Best Restaurants—will gather from 26 countries across six continents to collaborate in Copenhagen’s immersive dining scene. “To share the creativity and resilience of our community with guests and colleagues around the world is a dream come true,” says Rasmus Munk, Alchemist’s founder and the visionary behind CONVERGENCE.

Among the stellar participants are Ángel León of Aponiente (Spain), Norbert Niederkofler of Atelier Moessmer (Italy), Mitsuharu Tsumura of Maido (Peru, No. 1), Massimiliano Alajmo of Le Calandre (Italy), and Vicky Cheng of Wing (Hong Kong). From Latin America come Boragó (Chile), Quintonil (Mexico City), Kjolle (Peru), and Lasai (Brazil), representing the vibrant creativity of the region’s contemporary kitchens.

Europe’s culinary vanguard will also be out in force, with Kadeau (Denmark), Uliassi (Italy), Willem Hiele (Belgium), and Kol (London) joining the lineup. From Asia, Onjium (Seoul) and Chef Tam’s Seasons (Macau) bring refinement and heritage, while Atomix (New York City), SingleThread (California), and Atelier Crenn (San Francisco) showcase the ingenuity of North America’s fine dining scene.

Bars are equally well represented, including Paradiso (Barcelona), Bird (Copenhagen), and Sips (Barcelona) — all featuring some of the world’s most imaginative cocktail minds.

Guest of honor appearances from celebrated culinary icons such as Rasmus Kofoed (Denmark), Dej Kewkacha (Thailand, Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2025), Franco Pepe (Italy, The Best Chef Pizza Award 2021–2023), and Neil Perry (Australia, Woodford Reserve Icon Award 2024) will further enrich the five-day celebration.

Each evening, guest restaurants and bars will present their signature dishes and cocktails within Alchemist’s multisensory universe, creating a rare showcase of global gastronomy. Beyond the dinners, CONVERGENCE will feature talks and activities connecting culinary leaders with students, artisans, and the public—turning Copenhagen into a hub of inspiration, dialogue, and creativity.

“We hope to make this a yearly celebration that fuels knowledge and collaboration across gastronomy, art, and society,” says Munk.
