Food-Trend: "Pesto Eggs"

A new trend from the kitchen that has taken social media by storm - this time 'Pesto Eggs'. Here's a quick recipe.

Actually, they are simply fried eggs and pesto on bread, but 'pesto eggs' sounds much more exciting. They certainly taste delicious, otherwise they wouldn't have become a food trend.

The ingredients for 2 portions of Pesto Eggs:

  • 4 tablespoons of your favourite pesto (bought or homemade).
  • 2-4 slices of your favourite bread (from your favourite bakery or homemade)
  • 4 eggs

Preparation:

  1. Heat the pesto briefly in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
  2. Crack the eggs into it and cook until they are fried.
  3. Meanwhile, toast the bread and arrange on plates.
  4. Place the pesto fried eggs on top of the toast and enjoy!
