The Michelin Guide California 2026 has honoured Frida Blomdahl Hay, General Manager of San Francisco’s acclaimed Sons & Daughters, with its prestigious Service Award, recognising her exceptional approach to hospitality and guest experience.
Frida Blomdahl Hay, General Manager of San Francisco’s Sons & Daughters, has received the Michelin Service Award in the Michelin Guide California 2026. The honour recognises her outstanding contribution to the restaurant’s warm, thoughtful and highly personalised hospitality.
“This recognition is a true reflection of the incredible importance of our entire team,” said Blomdahl Hay. “I am so proud of every single member and couldn’t imagine being part of a better group of people.”
The award comes amid a series of accolades for Sons & Daughters, which recently ranked No. 45 on North America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 list, while Executive Chef and co-owner Harrison Cheney earned a nomination for Best Chef: California at the James Beard Awards.
Located in San Francisco’s Mission District, Sons & Daughters is celebrated for its seasonal tasting menu inspired by Northern California’s micro-seasons and its close relationships with local producers.
