Langosteria opens restaurant at Whitehall’s Old War Office

Italian group will have its third overseas restaurant at the new London landmark.

The Old War Office in Whitehall is currently being transformed into The OWO, a luxury hotel and food hall which will open this summer. There will be nine restaurants and three bars at The OWO, including a new eatery run by sushi master and Michelin-starred chef Endo Kazutoshi.

The latest addition to the restaurant list will be operated by the Italian Langosteria Group; it will be their third venue abroad after Paris and St. Moritz. The restaurant is part of the brand's international development strategy, which aims to position Langosteria in strategic locations globally. The group comprises seven restaurants, including four in Milan, combining Italian tradition with a contemporary and international approach.

The menu at Langosteria restaurants consists of a selection of signature dishes alongside a series of different proposals for each restaurant. Wine is very important, with a wide choice of labels at each restaurant, ranging from essential wineries to more niche realities.

“I have wanted to open a restaurant in London for a long time, and I strongly believe that The OWO is the perfect place for this debut,” said Enrico Buonocore, Founder and CEO of the Group. “We are confident that it will be one of the best restaurants in the capital.”

“Enrico and his team belong to a rare category of visionary restaurateurs who excel in designing lively and exciting venues that place the guest at the centre of the dining experience,” said Madani Sow, Managing Director of development management company WDS.

The OWO recently confirmed the debut of the Parisian restaurant Café Lapérouse and Milanese restaurant Paper Moon. The Raffles London at the OWO will have 120 rooms and 85 Raffles-branded residences.
