Celebrating in style: The wine industry's gala at Falstaff's Big Bottle Party in Düsseldorf

Kicking off ProWein with Flair: The Big Bottle Party dazzled once more with its selection of fine wines, gourmet offerings, and an electrifying ambiance, marking an unforgettable night.

As tradition would have it, Falstaff hosts the legendary Big Bottle Party every year on the eve of ProWein. On Saturday, March 9, the Lofthaus in the south of Düsseldorf was transformed into the perfect location for tasting and celebrating.

Once a year, the international wine world gathers in the metropolis on the Rhine to explore the latest trends and topics relating to wine for three days. While only trade visitors can experience the exquisite wines at the trade fair, the Big Bottle Party offers all wine lovers the opportunity to taste high-quality wines. For them, Falstaff puts the really big names in the spotlight for one evening.

The Big Bottles came from the world's most popular wine countries, such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain and France, but not only - even a winery from Mexico was represented. A total of 130 winegrowers and around 800 guests celebrated a brilliant party to kick off ProWein in Düsseldorf.

Before the live band led by Anna Buchegger took to the stage, the stage belonged entirely to the winegrowers. In the industrial chic of the Lofthaus, guests were able to taste their wines, get first-hand information and exchange specialist knowledge and contacts. The bottles, some of which were still normal-sized, were then exchanged for the impressive Big Bottles, which held up to 15 litres, from 8 pm.

But the physical well-being was also well catered for: Manufactum's bread creations harmonised almost perfectly with the first-class wines. Pahle" served wild-caught Alaskan red salmon, which also harmonised perfectly with the lemon caviar from Perla di Giove. An all-round successful evening that got the wine world in the mood for ProWein.
