Skåne's flourishing food and wine scene takes centre stage once again as Skåne Food Fest returns to the historic gardens of Norrviken this August, bringing together producers, winemakers, brewers and artisans from across Skåne and Halland.

On 7 and 8 August 2026, the picturesque Apple Garden at Norrviken Gardens in Båstad will transform into a showcase of southern Sweden's culinary craftsmanship. Now firmly established as one of the region's leading gastronomic events, Skåne Food Fest celebrates local producers, artisan food and drink, and the people behind them.

More than a traditional food festival, the event offers visitors the opportunity to meet growers, winemakers, brewers, distillers and food artisans in person, while sampling the products that have helped shape Skåne's reputation as one of Scandinavia's most exciting culinary destinations. Beyond the tastings, the festival encourages direct encounters with the producers themselves, offering guests a chance to discover the stories, craftsmanship and passion behind every bottle and every bite.

A major highlight of this year's edition is a collaboration with Terra Skåne, bringing together several vineyards from north-western Skåne to showcase the region's rapidly evolving wine industry. Once known primarily for agriculture, Skåne has emerged as one of Sweden's most dynamic wine regions, with cool-climate wines gaining increasing international recognition. Throughout the festival, visitors can meet the winemakers, discover different styles and learn more about the terroir that is redefining Swedish wine.

Another new feature is the Smakstudion ("Taste Studio"), where guests can join guided tastings dedicated to wine, craft beer, coffee, chocolate and a selection of regional delicacies. The programme combines established names with smaller artisan producers, highlighting the diversity and creativity that characterise southern Sweden's food culture.

Among this year's exhibitors are respected producers including Bjärefågel, Tiraholms Fisk, Höganäs Chocolate, Thora Vingård, Kullabergs Vingård, Arilds Vingård, Zoégas, Kullahalvöns Spritfabrik and Timjans Brygghus, alongside a wide selection of local food artisans and gourmet food trucks.

Set against the backdrop of Norrviken's celebrated gardens overlooking the Kattegat, the festival offers visitors the chance to combine exceptional food and drink with one of Sweden's most beautiful garden settings. Admission to Skåne Food Fest is included with the standard entrance ticket to Norrviken Gardens, making it an accessible celebration of the region's rich culinary heritage and growing reputation for premium food and wine.
