The Danish three‑star restaurant “Noma” is making a limited‑time guest appearance in the United States—and its pricing has already raised eyebrows.

Noma is set to relocate to Los Angeles for several weeks in spring 2026. From March 11 to June 16, chef René Redzepi and his team will be cooking at a private location—its address revealed only after a successful reservation. Alongside the pop-up restaurant, guests can expect a boutique offering selected Noma products and a series of workshops and training sessions.

It was recently announced that a visit to the three-Michelin-star restaurant will cost 1,500 US dollars per person. The price includes the full tasting menu, beverage pairings, service, and taxes. By comparison, a meal at the original Copenhagen location is priced around 590 euros. The elevated cost reflects the enormous logistical effort required to move the entire operation overseas—more than 130 staff members are traveling to Los Angeles, with the price also helping to cover transportation, accommodations, and schooling for employees’ children.

Regional Influences

Noma’s Los Angeles residency will take its culinary cues directly from the surrounding region. Ingredients will be sourced as locally as possible—within roughly a 500‑kilometer radius of the city—drawing on the diverse influences of the Pacific, the mountains, and the desert. According to the team’s statement, “We take the time to understand the ingredients, producers, and traditions, allowing what we discover to shape the menu—filtered through our imagination and the expertise we bring from Denmark.”

The Los Angeles outpost will operate from Tuesday through Friday, offering 42 seats per evening. Reservations open on January 26 at 9 a.m. local time. After this limited engagement, Noma plans to share its experiences and insights through publications and cross‑industry collaborations, continuing its tradition of shaping the future of global gastronomy.
