A celebration of sunshine, creativity and shared moments: Chasing the Sun, the new collaboration with British-Nigerian designer Yinka Ilori, transforms everyday champagne rituals into vibrant design objects inspired by joy, connection and the spirit of summer.

Veuve Clicquot has unveiled Chasing the Sun, a vibrant new collaboration with British-Nigerian artist and designer Yinka Ilori. Presented during Milan Design Week, the limited-edition collection reimagines the Maison’s iconic visual identity through Ilori’s signature language of colour, optimism and storytelling.

Inspired by Veuve Clicquot’s historic connection to sunlight and its unmistakable yellow label, Chasing the Sun explores themes of joy, human connection and togetherness. Ilori, often referred to as the “Architect of Joy”, created a graphic universe featuring embracing hands, reinterpreted stars and nature-inspired symbols that celebrate warmth and shared experiences.

At the heart of the collection is the Sun Holder, a contemporary champagne cooler inspired by the shape of a calabash. Crafted primarily from recycled materials using innovative 3D knitting technology, it keeps bottles chilled for up to 90 minutes. The collection also includes the sculptural Sun Totems, available for Yellow Label and Rosé cuvées, as well as a redesigned edition of the Maison’s iconic Clicquot Arrow gift box.

More than a design collaboration, Chasing the Sun is an invitation to embrace a lifestyle shaped by spontaneity, conviviality and the simple pleasures of summer. Through bold design and sustainable craftsmanship, Veuve Clicquot and Yinka Ilori offer a radiant celebration of shared moments and modern champagne culture.
