Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients
200 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa), roughly chopped
100 g hazelnut chocolate spread
300 ml whipping cream
50 g chopped nuts (such as hazelnuts or walnuts), toasted
2 tablespoon(s) sugar (optional)
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract (optional)
A pinch of salt

Preparation

Place the chopped chocolate and hazelnut spread in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and melt gently, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Meanwhile, whip the cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form. If desired, add the sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt while whipping.

Toast the chopped nuts in a dry pan until fragrant and golden brown. Stir constantly, as they can burn quickly. Remove from the heat and let cool.

Once the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly, gently fold in about one-third of the whipped cream to loosen the mixture.

Carefully fold in the remaining whipped cream until fully combined and smooth.

Gently stir in the toasted nuts, reserving a few for garnish.

Divide the mousse into glasses or bowls and chill for at least 2 hours until set.

Before serving, garnish with the remaining toasted nuts.
