The Falstaff Vienna Sausage Stand Rally 2025

At the Falstaff Vienna Sausage Stand Rally on September 10, guests can look forward to exclusive daily specials, free drink specials, live music, and the iconic stamp pass.

Legendary sausage stand in the immediate vicinity of the opera. Nothing but positive things can be said about the consistent quality of the sausages, especially recommended: the Sacherwürstel and the original Wiener Käsekrainer. A glass of Champagne is not uncommon.

Albertinaplatz 1, 1010 Vienna, Austria

From the original organic Bosna sausage from our own sausage production to organic cheese sausages, monthly hot dog specials, Dirty Wiener raw slices, and Kukuruzi Fritti. The world's first certified organic Vienna sausage stand. Taken over and redesigned in 2019, this sausage stand is truly exceptional in terms of quality. Seating and children's playground included.

Pfeilgasse 1a, 1080 Vienna, Austria

Because "everything is sausage" anyway, there is not only a wide range of sausages (from Frankfurter and Waldviertler to Salzburg veal sausage), but also calamari fritti and beef tartare with brioche from the Öfferl bakery. A thoroughly unusual sausage stand.

Börseplatz 1, 1010 Vienna, Austria

When it comes to quality, Christian Lange is no friend of unambitious sausages. This is probably why he has developed specialities such as the Grana Mangalitza Bratwurst. The meat comes from Mangalitza pork and is topped with Parmesan cheese. The Bosna comes with onion mustard.

Avedikstraße 4, 1150 Vienna, Austria

It has a lot to do with Viennese humour and the city's special approach to mortality when you open a sausage stand right in front of the Central Cemetery. Especially one that has such good Käsekrainer on offer.

Simmeringer Hauptstraße 234, 1110 Vienna, Austria

From the original organic Bosna sausage from our own sausage production to organic cheese sausages, monthly hot dog specials, Dirty Wiener raw slices, and Kukuruzi Fritti. The world's first certified organic Vienna sausage stand. Taken over and redesigned in 2023, this sausage stand is truly exceptional in terms of quality, with weekly DJ sets and live concerts included.

U4-Station Spittelau, Ausgang Josef-Holaubek-Platz, 1090 Vienna, Austria

Scharfe Rene is probably the most popular sausage stand in Vienna. This can only be achieved if the quality is consistently top. Whether it's Käsekrainer, Burenwurst or Frankfurter, sausage stand gastronomy is practised here at the highest level. A great selection of drinks too.

Schwarzenbergplatz 15, 1010 Vienna, Austria

A sausage stand with a history dating back to the imperial era. In 2015, the stand was completely restored and rebuilt according to old models. And they even created their own sausage speciality: the "Kaiserwurst", a white sausage made from veal and pork.

Augartenbrücke, 1020 Vienna, Austria

The term "institution" is probably best applied here, as this sausage stand is one of the oldest in Vienna, having been founded in 1928. The giant cheese krainer "Big Mama" is a particular favourite. But there is also a leo burger and caraway roast with lye sticks.

Döblinger Gürtel 2, 1190 Vienna, Austria

The Fuchs brothers' takeover of an old sausage stand on Taborstraße two years ago has paid off. Quality has prevailed, whether in the sausage varieties or in the house speciality, a bosna with kimchi and a mayonnaise made from fermented soybeans.

Taborstraße 38, 1020 Vienna, Austria

The original Salzburger Bosna is rarely available in Vienna, as it is here (with white bread, lightly toasted, onions, parsley and a curry-like savoury mix). Overall, however, all the sausage varieties here are of exquisite quality, a real sausage hotspot on the Gürtel.

Währinger Gürtel 89/1, 1180 Vienna, Austria

Reumannplatz, 1100 Vienna, Austria

Peter Kratzert has been running the sausage stand "Alles Walzer, alles Wurst" on Quellenplatz in Vienna-Favoriten for almost 20 years. Specialty of the house: the Käsekrainer kebab without the classic kebab meat. Instead, a kebab skewer made from Käsekrainer sausage meat rotates here.

Quellenstraße 84, 1100 Vienna, Austria

Sausage stand at the terminus of line 49, hence the name. Whether it's bratwurst, Käsekrainer or Burenwurst, the quality here is more than just okay. This is probably one of the reasons why the sausage stand has long had cult status and is also a meeting place for the residents of the neighbourhood.

Bujattigasse 4, 1140 Vienna, Austria

Kärntner Ring 3, 1010 Vienna, Austria

This is Viennese-style street food that couldn't be more typical. What's more, it's located on the Gürtel, where it's open until six in the morning every day except Sunday. The name "Heisse am Gürtel" says it all. A culinary venue like no other.

Lerchenfelder Gürtel 40, 1070 Vienna, Austria

Sausage stand with a long history (founded in 1952) and particularly popular after events in the stadium. At such times, vast quantities of bratwurst and Käsekrainer are sold - but this does not detract from the quality. Classic, but reliable.

Olympiaplatz, 1020 Vienna, Austria

Relatively new sausage stand at Schottentor. Grilled sausages with sauerkraut are among the specialties and vegan sausages are also available. The sausage classics such as Käsekrainer and Waldviertler are of a consistently high quality and there is a good selection of beer and wine.

Universitätsring 14, 1010 Vienna, Austria

The Vienna Prater without a snack stand with sausages, langos and hot dogs is actually unthinkable. Heindl's Imbiss is well aware of this, which is why it confidently feeds hordes of Prater visitors every day. And the quality is remarkable.

Prater 61, 1020 Vienna, Austria

Classic sausage stand on Kardinal-Nagl-Platz. Solid quality in all sausage varieties such as bratwurst, Debreziner, Käsekreiner and Teufelsgriller Klobasse. Many locals who appreciate this sausage stand meet in the small garden next door.
