The red wine Montefalco Rosso Riserva DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Arnaldo Caprai has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Merlot from the region Umbria in Italy.
Dark ruby purple. Nose of black pepper, curry, sour cherries and very ripe plums, blackberry confit on the finish. Grip and depth on the palate, showing dark fruit and rich, tight tannins, currently youthful but will come together nicely. Put away and fully enjoy in a few years.
