Rich, sparkling ruby; very clear nose, shows a lot of dark berry fruit, blackberry, wild raspberry, inviting; very full-bodied on the palate, builds up nicely, pithy, gripping tannin, but then becomes somewhat rough in the finish, alcoholic.
