Tasting Notes
A rainy spring was followed by a very hot and dry July, temperatures below average in August, then dry and warm again in September; harvest begins on September 18. Presents itself with a flint, dense ruby colour. Juicy, ripe heart cherry, fine cranberry notes. Lots of dense, gripping tannin on the palate, builds up in many layers, only at the beginning of its development, very long, sour cherry finish.
More about the tastingRich, bright ruby with garnet rim. Complex, intense nose, of fennel seeds and tea, then lots of ripe cherry, blackberry, very clear, cloves in the background. Opens on the palate with lots of juicy, rich cherry fruit, then unfolds with present, firm tannins, sweet melting at the core, builds for a long time, salty, long finish. An experience!
