The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Biondi-Santi Tenuta Greppo has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Elegant, dark ruby red with subtle brick-red reflections. On the nose, butter cookies, a touch of lovage, rich cherry, with subtle hints of iron. Good juiciness and clear fruit on the palate. Slightly broad but ripe tannins. Somewhat vegetal, slightly salty at the back. Currently still somewhat unbalanced and needs time.
