Tasting Notes

Tasting from 01.12.2017: Ulrich Sautter

Densely interwoven nose, cherry, sloe, vanilla, tobacco, undergrowth, somewhat ethereal. Good structure and length, very powerful and rather rustic character, but appears genuine and unaffected.

More about the tasting

Dried plum, blueberry jam on the nose, soft pressure on the palate, very broad, crumbly, grainy tannins in relatively generous doses, slightly viscous, deep acidity, finishes somewhat drying, the aroma blanket seems weak.

More about the tasting

Slightly animal in the nose, tight structure, certain hardness in the tannin, subtle palate fruit, barely integrated alcohol. Needs a lot of time, but will probably remain rather rough.
