Tasting Notes
In the nose a Cola Frosch shot, freshly baked bread, nougat as well as smoky hints. In addition some caramel, vanilla and ripe plum and blackberry. Seems well balanced and polished on the palate. On the finish fine roasted aromas, juicy fruit and savoury hints.
More about the tastingRestrained bouquet with notes of stewed berries, cinnamon and ethereal notes. Juicy freshness on the palate, velvety, soft and balanced.
More about the tastingComplex: some chocolate, but also mint and garden herbs. Silky attack, then slowly increasing grainy tannin, the acidity remains mild in the background, while the spice from the barrel ageing begins to unfold on the finish. Good length.
More about the tasting90 percent Tempranillo, 10 percent Mazuelo and Graciano. Somewhat artificial-looking wood, rich cherry fruit behind it, with light green tones and lots of juiciness on the palate, crumbly tannins and a hint of chalky minerality, still very closed. Interesting style that counteracts everything soft and chocolatey.
More about the tasting90% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo & Graciano. Very strong woody note: vanilla and almost a little furniture polish. Soft base on the palate, supple and then a full dose of rather rappish tannin, accompanied by nervously sinewy, good intensity and length, the structural part grips tightly on the finish, a hearty Gran Reserva style.
