The red wine El Viaje de Ramón Gran Reserva, vintage 2012 from the winery Bodegas Ramón Bilbao has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Graciano, Carignan from the region Rioja Alta in Spain.
Ripe black cherry with undertones of leather, butterscotch and milk chocolate. Juicy on the palate, fine-grained mellow tannins, elegant structure with well-integrated ripe acidity. It is a great food wine, now at the beginning of its drinking maturity whose dense finish and mineral imprint promise a long further life.
