The white wine Boekenhoutskloof Semillon, vintage 2019 from the winery Boekenhoutskloof has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Semillon, Muscat Alexandria from the region Franschhoek
A lovely floral nose blends in with a waxy note of melted stearin and a hint of hazelnut. The palate has a most fluid, rounded texture with a wonderful backbone of freshness that lifts this concentrated texture up into lightness without losing its essential palate weight that turns this into a very gastronomic wine. The finish is long, dry, smooth, intense and fresh with a hint of Golden Delicious apple.
