The red wine Chapelle d’Ausone, vintage 2007 from the winery Château Ausone has been rated in 2008 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot from the region St. Emilion in France.
Deep dark ruby garnet, youthful reflections, violet rim. Smoky and spicy on the nose, still somewhat reductive bouquet, underlaid with sweet black berries, mineral nuances. Taut on the palate, precisely structured, sweet core, fine honey note, oranges, blackberries, licorice, extract-sweet finish, good development potential.
