Tasting Notes
The twin vintage of the 1929: slightly lighter ruby garnet with orange reflections and a broader rim. Inviting notes of Malaga raisins on the nose, orange zest, freshly crushed cassis leaves, delicate hints of dried plums, fine herbal spice, with more air a little towards damp undergrowth. Juicy on the palate, slightly vegetal base note, good sweetness that carries through to the finish, has a certain port wine spiciness, although it has little alcohol, some nougat on the finish, very harmonious, still going strong, deviates somewhat from the classic Lafite style.
