Medium ruby garnet, ochre reflections, brightening on the rim. Sweet preserved plums, notes of cassis, liquorice, ethereal hints of mint and eucalyptus, some graphite and cedar. On the palate, vivid, silky tannins, fresh, racy acidity, enveloping, with a pleasing fruit driven sweetness, powerful and delicate at the same time, very clear black berries, hints of orange, subtle notes of chocolate and honey on the finish, with length, and robust ageing reserves.

Convincing length, has impressive certain ageing potential. A good half of the tasting panel felt that the oxidation note of this specific bottle was too strong and abstained from voting. This is a great wine.
