Tasting Notes
Fairly light carmine garnet, orange reflections, broad watery rim. Initially slightly dusty on the nose, delicately volatile lacquer notes, not a fine nose, a hint of Madeira. However, it gradually lifts, then dried plums, delicate mint notes. Soft, almost slightly jammy texture on the palate, cooked tannins that have a delicate drying effect, subtle nougaty finish, pleasant orange fruit in the aftertaste, this wine was perhaps given a little too little time, because it did not break down even after half an hour in the glass, is certainly already on the decline, but overall still offers some drinking pleasure after more than 60 years.
