Tasting Notes
Deep dark black ruby colour. Very dense on the nose, concentrated dark fruit. Opulent on the palate, but still very fresh and juicy, good acidity, red fruit, but also some blueberry. Very ripe, rich Merlot fruit. While the Merlot had more than 14 per cent alcohol by volume, the Cabernet only had 12 to 12.5 per cent by volume, which in the blend was 13.4 per cent by volume. This interplay results in a vibrant, lively wine with wonderful sweetness, very fine tannins and a long finish.
