Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, delicate brightening on rim. Subtle balsamic hints, a touch of dried fruit, dark berry fruit, with air some mint joins in, along with hints of nougat and noble wood. Full-bodied, subtle notes of liquorice, real texture, dark berries, powerful tannins, sweet and persistent on the finish, a large, somewhat fiery wine with powerful potential, patience is required here.
More about the tastingDark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose with subtle balsamic notes, a hint of dried fruit, dark berries and with some air, a touch of mint. Full-bodied with hints of liquorice, broad and textured, sweet and persistent. A great wine that is still far too young to be drunk yet, with great further ageing potential.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby garnet, almost black core, violet reflections, very intense red berry fruit on the nose, liquorice, floral notes, some stewed fruit, delicate dried fruit notes dominate. Very sweet on the palate, again delicately floral, incredibly powerful tannins, chocolate notes, very good length, overall a massive wine that offers very southern echoes and could hardly be assigned to St. Emilion in a blind tasting.
