The white wine »Alte Reben« St. Maximin Klosterlay Riesling feinherb, vintage 2023 from the winery Classisches Weingut Hoffranzen has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Citrus-fresh aroma, grapefruit, also slightly smoky and slate-spicy. The palate has a nice tension, the sweetness plays and does not serve to conceal the lack of extract. The wine is still lightweight, but the mineral depth of the old vines gives it pep.
