The red wine Barolo Vigna del Gris DOCG, vintage 2007 from the winery Conterno Fantino has been rated in 2011 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Sparkling, rich ruby with garnet shimmer. Very intense nose, compact and dense, lots of ripe fruit, plenty of wild raspberry and blackberry, slightly smoky and earthy notes in the background. Shows plenty of taut, dense tannins on the palate, builds up in a multi-layered way, hearty and gripping.
