The red wine Contrada C Terre Siciliane IGP, vintage 2019 from the winery Passopisciaro has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright cherry red with ruby flecks. Small strawberries, currant, juniper berry on the nose, slightly loamy, leather savouriness and black tea on the finish. Builds lively, with beautiful drive, finely interwoven tannins, very rich in finesse, yet gripping in the back, tactile mineral notes, finishes with a fine salty character.
