The red wine Chianti Rufina Riserva Vigneto Bucerchiale, vintage 2009 from the winery Fattoria Selvapiana has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Lovely earthy notes of wet clay blend in with lifted, bright, tart notes of cherry. More air adds a floral touch. The palate has firm tannins, still proper crunch, and a luminous, bright and vivid acidity. Hints of tart Morello cherry, autumnal oak leaf and woodland lichen shimmer alongside some peppery spice. Wonderfully elegant in its shape and poise. A wonderfully aromatic finish.
