Tasting Notes
Subtle hints of smoked bacon and charcuterie make for a meaty nose. A subtle medicinal hint suggests a hint of camphor. The palate still has juiciness, still has vivid acidity, still has moth-coating tannins, showing an essential and as yet unrefined nature of Sangiovese. The finish has hints of dried porcini and wet, autumnal earth. This calls out for a stew of wild boar. The length is still exquisite with a flicker of cherry.
