The white wine VR0510 Marsala Vergine Riserva, vintage 2010 from the winery Cantine Florio has been rated in 2024 by Otmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grillo from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, shimmering amber. Impressive nose with notes of salted almonds and iodine, then dried orange zest, plus some dates and fresh figs, very complex. Just as complex on the palate, bone dry, then impresses with notes of roasted almonds, light tobacco, clarified butter, salty in the very long finish, individualistic, but wonderful!
