The white wine Casteller Hohnart Silvaner trocken, vintage 1967 from the winery Fürstlich Castell’sche Domäne has been rated in 2018 by Rainer Schäfer with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Golden yellow colour and the nose suggest botrytis; beeswax, nougat, some evolution, ripe dried fruit and balsamic notes. Juicy, powerful and creamy on the palate, restrained ripe acidity, good concentration and length, herbal finish. A finely matured Silvaner.
