The white wine »6. Apriles anno 1659« Silvaner, vintage 2012 from the winery Fürstlich Castell’sche Domäne has been rated in 2013 by Axel Biesler und Marco Lindauer with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Intense bouquet of quince and pear. Smoky and discreetly toasty spicy nuances, some candied fruit and caramel, herbal notes reminiscent of sage and horseradish, an iridescent and complex fragrance experience. Complex flavours too, with creamy fruit and subtle acidity. Delicate, and with a mineral echo on the finish.
