The white wine »6. Apriles anno 1659« Silvaner trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Fürstlich Castell’sche Domäne has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 - 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Bright, golden yellow. On the nose, notes of hay, quince, pear, orange blossom and a subtle wood savouriness. Smooth and full-bodied on the palate with a taut acidic structure, great spiciness, peppery notes and good phenolics. A very successful use of wood gives a beautiful arc of tension.
