The sekt Margrit Rosé Brut, vintage 2016 from the winery Geheimer Rat Dr. von Bassermann-Jordan has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Relatively deep coloured, with brick-red reflections. On the nose there are aromas of yeast, rosehip and tomato puree with some buttery notes. In the mouth the mousse is rather restrained, but suppleness and a touch of phenolics create a contrast in the mid-palate. This sparkling wine finishes with ripe acidity and a compact, dense texture.
