Strong, slightly mature, slightly cloudy red. Somewhat veiled on the nose, then intense black berry fruit, spicy, licorice, cedar wood. Compact attack on the palate, rather lean, taut, present, youthful acidity, prominent tannins, but overall very balanced. Long, slightly bitter finish. Enjoyable wine, at the beginning of its drinking maturity.
