ANBAUGEBIET: Merlot aus dem Sopraceneri; Petit Verdot, Cab.Franc und Cab.Sauvignon aus dem Sottoceneri. WEINAUSBAU: Die Kelterung erfolgt nach traditioneller Methode mit einer Maischegärung von 13-17 Tagen bei 26 - 30 °C. Nach dem biologischen Säureabbau reifen die Weine je nach Rebsorte und Struktur während 12 - 16 Monaten in neuen (80%) und einjährigen (20%) Barriques. Die 4 Rebsorten wurden separat vinifiziert und erst kurz vor der Abfüllung assembliert. ALKOHOLGEHALT: 13.5% Vol. FARBE: Sattes, dunkles Bordeauxrot. BOUQUET: Intensives und sehr komplexes Bukett. Mit fruchtiger Noten von reifen schwarzen Beeren, sowie blumige Aspekte wie Veilchen aber auch Röstaromen die an Lakritze erinnern. GESCHMACK: Vollmundig, kräftig und fruchtig von hervorragender, aromatischer Intensität. Gut strukturiert, mit einem anhaltenden Abgang. Perfectly ripe, dark-berry aromas: blackberry, black cherry, subtle roasted notes and savoury nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate with fine tannins and ripe acidity, again showing fruit and roasted nuances. Salty impression in the long finish.
