REBSORTE: Merlot WEINAUSBAU: Die Kelterung erfolgt nach traditioneller Methode mit einer Maischegärung von 13 - 16 Tagen bei 28 - 30 °C. Nach dem biologischen Säureabbau reift der Wein über 18 Monate in Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Dank des häufigen Umziehen der Barriques wurde der Sassi Grossi ohne weitere Schönung, Kaltstabilisierung und Filtrierung abgefüllt. ALKOHOLGEHALT: 13.8% Vol. FARBE: Tiefgründiges sattes Rubinrot. BOUQUET: Intensiv und komplex. Mit Noten von Pflaumen, Brombeeren und schwarzen Johannisbeeren, sowie Röstaromen die an Dunkel Kakao, Tabak und Menthol erinnern. GESCHMACK: Voller und kräftiger Auftakt. Frisch, fruchtig, hervorragend strukturiert mit reifen, gut eingebundenen Tanninen. Eine saftige Säure begleitet den langen, anhaltenden Abgang. SERVIERTEMPERATUR: 18 °C LAGERFÄHIGKEIT: Seinen vollen Charakter entwickelt der Sassi Grossi 2022 ab Sommer 2024; bei optimaler Lagerung wird er bis 2035 und darüber hinaus seinen vollen Ausdruck behalten. This has a medium ruby colour. There are intense and fine aromas of plum, wild berry, toasty nuances, a subtle spiciness, some leather, and tobacco. It is soft and powerful on the palate, with a beautiful fullness, suitable substance, a ripe acidity, and appropriate tannins. It finishes with notes of bright berry, and lingers for a long time. It still has ageing potential.
