Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet with a black core, purple reflections and subtle rim brightening. The nose is ethereal, with underlying black fruit - cassis and blackberry jam in particular - as well as pleasant nuances of maquis and a southern European savouriness. There's a chocolaty touch also to the multi-faceted bouquet. On the palate it's juicy and round - almost Baroque in texture, such is the core of ripe cherry-led fruit and silky tannins. There's still an animating freshness and a mineral touch, which alongside a touch of orange on the finish keeps thing in line. Long lasting, with a promising future.
