The red wine Syrah du Valais Reserve, vintage 2017 from the winery La Madeleine – André Fontannaz et filles has been rated in 2020 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Smoky notes on the nose, along with cranberry, strawberry confit, blackberry and plum. There are also spicy, balsamic hints of liquorice and black pepper. Soft on the palate, delicate, balanced, ripe berry fruit, slightly noticeable tannins, juicy acidity, long mineral finish.
