The red wine Barolo Aleste DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Luciano Sandrone has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 99 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Clear ruby red with fine garnet on the rim. Compact nose with notes of ripe blackberries and plums and discreet resinous notes. Elegantly rounded and smooth on the attack, unfolds with fine-meshed tannin, builds up in many layers into a highly complex wine with a long, juicy finish. Excellent.
