Tasting Notes
Rich, impenetrable ruby-violet. Plump and rich nose, smells of cigar, then lots of ripe elderberries and cassis, exciting. Tannins are substantial and dense, opens up layer by layer, then shows quite malty, cooked fruit notes on the finish, good pressure, unfortunately a little too much caramel.
