The red wine Massetino Toscana IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Masseto has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, bright ruby with purple glints. An intense and appealing nose with lots of rich berry fruit, black cherry, blackberry and cassis, plus some nougat and tobacco. On the palate it is initially dense and profound, with dark berry fruit and grippy tannins. Still a little diffuse on the finish; it still needs time.
